Jesus Stories: Old Testament
Entering Rest
As the Israelites prepared to enter the promised land, God reminded them to place their confidence in Him alone. Like them, our circumstances may change, but when we remain focused on Jesus, we too can find true rest in Him.
God on the Mountain
When God descended on the mountain, the Israelites stood in fear — but through Jesus, we are invited into forgiveness and relationship instead of terror. United with Him, we receive the Holy Spirit to guide and transform our lives.
His Guiding Presence
God guided the Israelites through the wilderness with clouds, fire, and manna — signs of His faithful presence. In the same way, Jesus leads us today, teaching us who He is and reminding us that His presence still protects and sustains us.
Faith Through the Suffering
When the Israelites faced suffering in the wilderness, God gave them a bronze snake to look upon for healing. In the same way, we turn to Jesus — the one who bore our pain and brings true healing through His sacrifice.
God Under the Gavel
When the Israelites cried out for justice in the wilderness, God revealed His presence and grace instead of judgment. This teaching reminds us that even in our struggles and fears, God is with us — offering living water and hope in Christ.
Our Daily Bread
Just as God provided manna for the Israelites in the wilderness, Jesus is our true bread from heaven. He not only meets our daily needs but sustains us eternally, inviting us into a life of trust, rhythm, and rest in Him.
The Red Sea Crossing Today
The crossing of the Red Sea points us to Jesus’ resurrection and God’s saving power. Unlike the Israelites who struggled to trust, Jesus fully followed God’s will — showing us the way to true faith and transformation.
The Bitter Made Sweet
When life feels bitter and uncertain, God remains present and faithful. In this teaching, we see how Jesus not only rescues us but transforms us — enabling us to extend forgiveness and grace even in seasons of hardship.
Dad’s Got a Knife
In Exodus 12, God provides a substitute for His people, pointing to Jesus as the perfect Savior. This teaching shows how God’s justice and love meet in Christ — the one who liberates us and gives true freedom through His sacrifice.
The Test and The Provision
Guest speaker Nick Cady explores Abraham’s test of faith in Genesis 22, showing how God’s love and provision point us to Jesus. This story reveals the true essence of trust and surrender — and the ultimate sacrifice that rescues us from sin.
Jesus in the Garden: The First Gospel & The Whole Story
We begin our new series Jesus Stories with a powerful look at the first gospel promise in Genesis. Guest speaker Mike Neglia shares how God’s plan of salvation was present from the very beginning — even when humanity sinned, His grace and redemption were already at work.
