Our Walk in Christ
We were once darkness, but now we are light in the Lord, and therefore we are called to walk as children of light in a dark and broken world. The light of Christ has filled us, not so we can argue against darkness from a distance, but so that His presence through us can expose evil and draw others to Him. Walking in the light means bearing the fruit of goodness, righteousness, and truth—living wisely, filled with the Spirit, and loving both God and neighbor through worship, gratitude, and mutual submission. As we walk wisely, empowered by the Spirit, our lives become a living testimony that reveals the beauty and power of Jesus to a world still lost in darkness
Renewed in Christ
In Ephesians 4:17–5:5, we are reminded that life in Christ means being renewed from the inside out. We no longer live as the world does, shaped by its empty ways, but are transformed by the Holy Spirit working in us. Our power for renewal comes not from discipline or fear but from the Spirit’s indwelling presence. Our motivation is love—because we are dearly loved children of God—and our process is repentance: putting off the old self and putting on the new. As those who have been adopted and redeemed, we now live differently—truthful in speech, slow to anger, generous in work, gracious in words, and forgiving in relationships. We walk in love, imitating Christ who gave Himself for us, so that our lives together display His renewing power to the world.
One in Christ
This week, we continue our series titled, "In Christ", a study through the book of Ephesians. Paul describes to the church in Ephesus what it looks like to be walking with Christ. There is no checklist of things to do, but rather a new heart signified by the character traits of humility, gentleness, love, and peace. With these renewed hearts, we all unify into one new body on a mission with one shared calling. We can all exercise our unique gifts and places that God has put us in order to serve others and proclaim the gospel.
The Love of God in Christ
This week, we continue our series titled, "In Christ", a study through the book of Ephesians. While we might call ourselves Christians, those in the early church preferred to identify themselves as being "In Christ'. Their hope was that what is true of Jesus would become true of themselves. The foundation of the spiritual walk begins with the security of the gift we receive and the opportunity to belong. From there, we walk with Christ and yield to His spirit, allowing it to work in our lives. This work allows us to develop a Christ-like love and truly experience the depth of His love for us.
Partners in Christ
This week, we continue our series titled, "In Christ", a study through the book of Ephesians. As Paul writes to the church of Ephesus, he is a prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of the gentiles. It is through Christ and His grace the gentiles are brought in to the family of God as co-heirs and full members of the body. We all share as partners in the promise of the Holy Spirit for us. In Christ, we all share in bold and confident access to Him and with these revelations, are commissioned to share the good news.
Unity in Christ
This week, we continue our series titled, "In Christ", a study through the book of Ephesians. As Paul writes to the church of Ephesus, he reminds them who they were before Jesus, an alienated community of Jews and gentiles. In Christ, a divided people becomes one. He proclaims peace for all, as we are no longer strangers but fellow citizens of His Kingdom. Beyond merely fellow citizens, there is love and belonging as we are also united in His family.
