“The Love of God In Christ” | Ephesians 3: 14 - 21
Recap:
While we might call ourselves Christians, those in the early church preferred to identify themselves as being "In Christ'. Their hope was that what is true of Jesus would become true of themselves. The foundation of the spiritual walk begins with the security of the gift we receive and the opportunity to belong. From there, we walk with Christ and yield to His spirit, allowing Him to work in our lives. This work allows us to develop a Christ-like love and truly experience the depth of His love for us.

Discussion Questions
Head:
What stood out or spoke to you in this week’s message?
What term or phrase do you typically use to describe people that follow Jesus? What kind of meaning does that default descriptor suggest in comparison to our series title, “In Christ.”
We talked about the major thematic elements of the book of Ephesians as Wealth, Walk, and Warfare. Why is it important that Wealth is addressed before Walk and Warfare?
Heart:
“My Heart–Christ’s Home” was referenced, which gives an image of Jesus entering someone’s heart as if He is entering a home. What “room” in your heart do you struggle to open the door to Christ?
How does the idea of Christ permanently settling in your heart, and being completely “at-home” make you feel? Is that prospect exciting, scary, comforting, or confining?
In what ways do we sometimes fall into the “behave to belong” mindset?
Hands:
How do we counterbalance the “behave to belong” mindset through our regular rhythms of life?
We heard the phrase, “Your position is secured in Christ before your practice is ever addressed in Christ.” How does this idea impact the way we interact with the people around us, especially if they are not yet “In Christ”?
