When God makes you wait

In Mark 5:21–43, Jairus urgently pleads with Jesus to heal his dying daughter. As Jesus goes with him, He pauses to heal a woman who had suffered for twelve years. While Jairus waits in anguish, word comes that his daughter has died — but Jesus encourages him, “Do not fear, only believe.”

This passage reveals the tension of waiting on God when circumstances seem to worsen. Jesus is never late; His delays are not denials. In His perfect timing, He raises Jairus’ daughter and shows that even death must bow to His authority.

This message invites us to trust Jesus’ timing, even when it feels slow or confusing, knowing that His power is greater than our urgency and His plan brings life where we expect loss.
