Jesus, our Kings Ransom

In Mark 10:32–45, Jesus walks ahead of His disciples on the road to Jerusalem, fully aware that suffering and death await Him. While He speaks of His impending crucifixion, His disciples are distracted by their own ambitions, asking for seats of honor in His kingdom.

Jesus seizes the moment to redefine greatness. In His kingdom, true greatness is not about power, prestige, or position — it’s about sacrificial service. He declares that even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.

This message reminds us that Jesus is the King who ransomed us not with gold or authority, but with His own blood. As His followers, we are called to embody the same servant-hearted humility, laying down our lives for others as He laid down His for us.
