Jesus, my Sabbath Rest

In Mark 2:23–28, Jesus confronts the religious leaders who accuse His disciples of breaking the Sabbath by plucking grain. Jesus reminds them that the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath — and declares Himself Lord of the Sabbath.

This moment reveals that true rest is not found in rule-keeping but in relationship. Jesus offers rest not just for our bodies but for our souls — freedom from striving, from earning, and from the heavy burdens of legalism.

This message calls us to stop chasing rest in our own efforts and start receiving it in Jesus, who fulfills the law and invites us into His grace-filled rest.
