In this second message of our Advent 2024 series Characters of Christmas, we look at the story of Joseph in Matthew 1:18–25. Joseph’s world was turned upside down when he learned that Mary was expecting a child. Faced with confusion, fear, and the weight of cultural expectations, Joseph chose obedience to God’s word delivered through the angel.

Through Joseph’s example, we learn that peace doesn’t come from perfect circumstances but from trusting God’s plan, even when it feels uncertain. His quiet faith and willingness to follow God’s call remind us that true peace is found in surrender.
