Simeon’s Hope
In this first message of our Advent 2024 series Characters of Christmas, we look at the story of Simeon in Luke 2:21–35. Simeon was a righteous and devout man who spent his life waiting for the “consolation of Israel.” Guided by the Spirit, he held the newborn Christ in his arms and declared God’s salvation for all people.
Through Simeon’s hope, we’re reminded that God’s promises never fail—even when the waiting feels long. His encounter with Jesus shows us how hope is fulfilled not in circumstances, but in the Savior Himself.
Join us as we reflect on the meaning of true hope this Advent season and how, like Simeon, we can live in anticipation of God’s faithfulness.
