A Wish or your Reality
In this fourth message of our series Longing for the Savior: A Study in the Psalms, we turn to one of the most beloved passages in Scripture—Psalm 23. David reminds us that the Lord is our Shepherd, providing guidance, protection, and care. Yet, this psalm is more than comforting words—it challenges us to consider whether God’s presence and provision are simply something we wish for, or a reality we are living in each day.
Psalm 23 paints a vivid picture of trust: green pastures, still waters, a restored soul, and even courage in the valley of the shadow of death. It assures us that goodness and mercy will follow us all our days when we walk with the Shepherd.
This message invites us to move beyond wishing for peace and security and into the reality of resting in Christ’s care, finding confidence in His promises for today and eternity.
