Why Trust the Resurrection

On the first day of the week, women come to Jesus' tomb expecting to anoint a corpse—but instead find the stone rolled away and a messenger announcing, “He has risen; He is not here.” The empty tomb, the angel’s words, and the women’s witness stand as the first testimony to the reality of the Resurrection. This moment changes everything: death has been defeated, hope has dawned, and the kingdom of God is breaking into history. Mark’s abrupt ending forces us to grapple with the question: will we respond with fear and silence, or with faith and proclamation? The resurrection is not just an event to admire—it is a truth to trust, a power to live by, and the cornerstone of our faith.
