The Son of Man
In Mark 2:10, Jesus declares, “The Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” This bold statement shocks the religious leaders and reveals His true identity — not merely a teacher or healer, but the divine Son of Man prophesied in Daniel, who would be given everlasting dominion and glory.
By using this title, Jesus connects His mission to God’s cosmic plan: to bring forgiveness, restoration, and the reign of God’s Kingdom. This message explores how Jesus holds both authority and compassion — fully able to forgive our sins and restore our lives.
We are invited to trust Him not just as a miracle-worker but as the exalted Son of Man who alone can reconcile us to God.
