Answering Gods Original Question

In Mark 1:32–39, Jesus retreats from the clamor of the crowds to be alone with the Father, modeling what it looks like to realign with God’s original intent for our lives. This message draws us back to the very first question God asked in Genesis — “Where are you?”

Sin causes us to hide, to run, and to cover ourselves with performance or distraction. Yet Jesus came to seek us out, not to shame us but to restore us. He calls us out of hiding, back into God’s presence, and forward into God’s purpose.

This teaching reminds us that the first step in following Jesus is honesty before God — answering His question and letting His grace meet us where we are.
