The Effusive Love of God

Guest Speaker Conor Berry  | Romans 5:5-11

Recap

We see in Romans 5:5–11 that the effusive love of God—His unrestrained, poured-out love—is most clearly displayed in His ability to turn His enemies into His friends. We were helpless, ungodly, and opposed to God, yet Christ died for us at just the right time, proving that His love originates entirely in Him and not in us. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, we have been justified, reconciled, and secured from future wrath, giving us a confident and specific hope in God’s promises. This transforms how we live now—we boast in God, rest in His love, and become people who carry His peace into the world, reflecting the same reconciling love that saved us.
